Building contractor enters administration

A family owned chartered building contractor formerly used by Queen Elizabeth II has entered administration.

WS Lusher & Son Ltd has appointed Chris Williams and Andrew McTear of McTear Williams & Wood to act as administrators for the firm.

The Norwich-based specialist construction and building contractors appointed the administrators on 5th August 2016.

WS Lusher & Son were appointed by Queen Elizabeth II for work at Sandringham House and received the royal warrant.

The contractors directly employ 46 operatives from all trades, which allows the firm to complete a wide range of building works. These include extensions, alterations, period property and church work.

WS Lusher & Son’s administration comes after 500 jobs were lost when fellow construction firm The Dunne Group ceased trading last month.

Following Brexit, insolvency specialists Begbies Traynor said that almost 50,000 property and construction firms were now at risk
