Chart Hills Golf Club in Biddenden, Kent, which is a championship golf course designed by Sir Nick Faldo, was sold by Savills on behalf of Leaderboard Golf.
The course has played host to a European Tour Qualifying school and has also held the Ladies European Tour and the Ladies English Open Championship, while in May 2017 it is set to host the Brabazon Trophy.
The new owner will inherit a modern clubhouse, greenkeeper’s building, 743 sq ft of office space, driving range, service hut, car park and two adjacent grass paddocks.
“Having launched Chart Hills in June this year, the speed at which we have successfully completed the transaction reflects the prime quality and location of the golf course, and the opportunity for future development,” said Ian Simpson, director of leisure and trading at Savills.
This announcement sees yet another golf course sold with Savills also selling Huntswood Golf Club in Buckinghamshire for £1.75m.
Meanwhile, a developer has plans to convert a historic park into a championship golf resort in Bolton.
