Cairn Homes PLC has announced that its chief financial officer has decided to leave the firm..

Eamonn O’Kennedy joined the Dublin-based housebuilder in January 2015 and was a key player in helping Cairn to be listed on the London Stock Exchange in June 2015.

However, Eamonn has stated that he would now like to focus his attention on his next opportunity.

"I have been delighted to play a key role in the IPO, initial set-up and development of the company to its position of strength today, with a market capitalisation of in excess of €900m [approximately £786m].

“It has been a pleasure working with Michael [Stanley], my colleagues and the board and I wish them every success in the future.”

Cairn Homes said it would commence a recruitment process to appoint a new chief financial officer and said Eamonn would remain with the firm until the position is filled.

Michael Stanley, chief executive officer of Cairn Homes, thanked Eamonn for his contribution to the group over the past two years.

“His commitment, input and professionalism were exemplary throughout his time with the company and he was instrumental in the establishment and delivery of our business to this point.

“I wish him every success in his future career."
