Savills and Colston & Colston have been appointed by joint receivers Damian Webb and Phillip Rodney Sykes of RSM Restructuring Advisory LLP to market the Grade II-listed property.
Currently trading as a 14-bedroom hotel, the 17th-century property has approved planning permission and listed building consent for up to 44 bedrooms.
The building comprises a series of interlinked buildings set on a site of around 12.8 acres with the main property featuring 14 completed hotel bedrooms as well as a restaurant.

The lodge – which is attached to the main building – is currently used as the owner’s accommodation with four bedrooms and two receptions rooms.
“This former convent is steeped in history and provides a fantastic opportunity to create a striking hotel in an area of the UK which is very popular with tourists,” said Martin Rogers, head of UK hotel transactions at Savills.
“The existing consent provides scope for developing the hotel business, while the property could also suit an alternative use, subject to securing planning permission.”
