Ashley Ilsen, head of lending at Regentsmead (pictured above), along with a representative from the Construction Industry Training Board (CITB) will form a two-man panel to judge each category.
The categories include: new home, energy efficiency project, small renovation project, heritage project, large renovation project, commercial project, kitchen or bathroom project, heavenly builder, apprentice of the year, building merchant of the year and lifetime achievement award.
The event – now in its 13th year – celebrates the first-class work completed by SME builders throughout the UK.
Winners of each award will win a brand new Vivaro van courtesy of main sponsor Vauxhall.

Ashley said it was a real honour to be asked to be part of the judging process.
“This is also testament to Regentsmead’s entrenchment within the SME builder sector.
“Our partnership with the FMB has been a fruitful one for several years and many Regentsmead clients are proud FMB members.
“I’m looking forward to spending time going through the nominations and hopefully picking some outstanding winners.”
The last awards programme saw regional awards given to companies from as far north as Aberdeenshire and as far south as Devon and Cornwall.
The national winner of each category will be announced at the awards ceremony and lunch due to take place on Friday 15th September.
