John Sisk & Son Limited (Sisk) is to partner Select Property Group on a £247m private rented sector development in Manchester.

The Affinity Living scheme at Circle Square in Manchester will see Sisk deliver 677 apartments for Select.

The scheme is split across two buildings and includes shared lounge areas, co-working spaces, supersized gyms and private entertaining spaces.

“We are delighted to have been chosen as Select’s construction partner for Circle Square,” said Guy Fowler, regional managing director for UK North and major projects at Sisk.

“We look forward to bringing our extensive residential expertise to the development, working in an open and collaborative manner with all of the stakeholders on what is a landmark Affinity Living project for Select and the city of Manchester.”

The announcement comes during a period of growth for Affinity Living as the brand is scheduled to deliver over 1,800 apartments in Manchester in the next three years with a combined gross development value of £644m.

Mark Oakes, chief commercial officer at Select, added: “With huge growth plans and an ambitious delivery pipeline across the country, we want to work with partners who share the same drive and determination; we believe Sisk are just that.

“We are looking forward to the team starting on site and seeing Affinity Living, Circle Square come to life.”

Circle Square is a joint venture partnership between Select and Bruntwood with Select developing the residential component of the scheme with its Affinity Living and Vita Student scheme.
