The figures – which were released as part of the international consultancy and construction business’s 2016 annual report –also revealed that international turnover had surged to £517m.
Over the last four years, Mace has experienced a period of significant growth with nearly 2,000 new jobs created and turnover doubled.
Last year was its 26th year of uninterrupted revenue growth and profitability.
This has led Mace to become a major exporter of UK consultancy and construction services.
The group’s development business – which has a gross development value of more than £1.6bn worth of real estate investments – also contributed to its strong growth in 2016.
This gross development value figure represented a 14% increase on 2015.
The group reported a pre-tax profit of £10.7m, which was below expectations due to a small number of challenging construction projects.
The company is now working in most major infrastructure sectors in the UK with a growing international portfolio of work.
