The 10-year regeneration programme is set to provide 628 new homes for private sale and 198 for mid-market rent through the Glasgow Housing Association.
The £250m scheme is also expected to deliver 62 new jobs through modern apprenticeships, graduates and new entrants, 45 new construction jobs, as well as support for 46 apprenticeships and 82 work placements.
The new homes will include a mix of one- to five-bedroom homes, with prices starting from £112,500.
Plans for the development include the construction of a road bridge across the Glasgow-Edinburgh railway line, as well as the introduction of a footbridge across the M8.

There will also be retail units, green space and commercial developments in the new neighbourhood, which – according to Keepmoat – will be the biggest project of its kind in the UK outside of London.

Work is scheduled to start late spring/early summer 2019.
