Savills strengthens retail investment team

International real estate adviser Savills has announced the appointment of James Stratton as a director in its retail investment team.

In his new role, James will focus on the shopping centre and high street shop markets and will be based in London.

James has joined from Cushman & Wakefield, where he spent 14 years in the in-town retail investment team and worked on deals including the acquisitions of Waverley Mall, Edinburgh, for Moorgath and the New George Street Estate, Plymouth, for British Land.

Mark Garmon-Jones, head of retail investment at Savills, said: “We are delighted to welcome James to the team.

“The depth of his experience and knowledge of the retail investment landscape and his market relationships will prove invaluable to our clients, and help further bolster our position as of one of the leading retail advisers in the market.”
