In his new role, Jon will be responsible for the firm’s regional business in eight offices across England, Scotland and Wales and will report to George Roberts, who was recently appointed the head of UK and Ireland.
Jon was previously head of Cushman & Wakefield’s Midlands, South West and Wales region, a role he had held since 2003 having joined the company’s predecessor DTZ as a graduate in 1988.
He has worked on a number of high-profile buildings and projects in Birmingham, including the redevelopment of the Grand Central shopping centre.
Jon said: “The regions continue to offer significant opportunities for the growth and development of our business.
- Council searches for developer to lead 42-acre redevelopment
- LondonMetric sells retail park for £15.3m
- Council exchanges contracts for sale of former HQ
“With local expertise in every major market of the UK – combined with specialist national teams – we are well placed to capitalise on these exciting opportunities.”
George added: “I am delighted to announce Jon’s new role.
“We are witnessing significant UK and overseas investment into the regions, often linked to public and private redevelopment and regeneration projects, central government devolution initiatives and large-scale infrastructure projects – many of which we are proud to be advising on.
“Jon has the depth of knowledge, as well as the drive, to further our ambitions for our regional business.”
