Parcel B – a plot of land totalling around 11 acres – has been sold to Taylor Wimpey for the construction of 110 new family homes.

This is the first sale of land at Cadley Park following the decision by South Derbyshire District Council’s planning committee to approve plans for 600 residential units across three separate plots of land in June 2015.

Harworth has spent the past two years completing the remediation of the site and providing essential green infrastructure to give the new community a sense of place.

The Cadley Park development also includes a driving range operated by N1 Golf and plans for a country park, a nine-hole golf course and a nine-hole family golf course.

“Bringing a prestigious name like Taylor Wimpey to the Cadley Park development provides impetus for further development around the site,” said Edward Catchpole, development manager at Harworth Group, who is responsible for Cadley Park.

“South Derbyshire District Council has trusted us to bring forward a high-quality, mixed-use development over the next decade and this sale fits entirely within this vision.”

Freeths, Fisher German and Pegasus Group all advised Harworth Group on the sale.

“I am delighted that the first land sale at Cadley Park has been completed, Pegasus is looking forward to working with Harworth Group to deliver the remainder of the development,” said Steve Lewis-Roberts, director at Pegasus Group.

Over the next 18 months, Harworth will begin work on the circa 50-acre country park, while the nine-hole family golf course is due to open to the public in Q3 2018.

Meanwhile, construction work on the 110 new family homes is set to begin in Q3 2018.
