JLL helps secure planning for south London regeneration scheme

The planning development and heritage team at JLL has helped to secure planning permission for a regeneration scheme in south London.

The planning application was submitted on behalf of Metropolitan to develop over 2,500 new homes and community facilities at Clapham Park, south London.

Planning was granted (subject to GLA stage 2 referral and a section 106 agreement) following a unanimous vote from Lambeth Council’s planning committee.

Once completed, the regeneration will encompass over 4,000 homes, with 53% of them affordable.

The development will also comprise a new central park and a community hub with shops and community facilities.

“Submitted as a full detailed application, the design looks at the issues that matter to residents and has been rigorously tested to ensure deliverability and usability,” said Mark Connell, director of planning development and heritage at JLL (pictured above).

“We are delighted to have been granted planning approval on behalf of our client and commend Metropolitan and PRP for marrying intensive community involvement with outstanding architecture.

“The new masterplan puts residents first and is the product of extensive consultation with Lambeth Council and the Greater London Authority."
