The development (pictured above) will comprise a 250-seat lecture theatre, a range of seminar and teaching rooms, independent study space, a computer suite and a café.
The seven-storey building is set across two wings.

BAM has already started work on the site at Salisbury Road under an early works contract, which has prepared the site for development by reconfiguring car parking on Salisbury Road, diverting underground services and demolishing building 58a.
“There are plenty of challenges for the construction team,” said Anthony Nagle, construction director at BAM.
“But it is exactly the sort of scheme BAM has expertise and experience of, and that we can handle sensitively.”
The centre is set to open early in 2019, and is part of a long-term masterplan, which includes the recent conclusion of Chamberlain Hall of Residence and Boldrewood Innovation Campus.
