The 10-acre neighbourhood will comprise a range of one- and two-bedroom apartments and two-, three- and four-bedroom homes, as well as a new public park, open spaces and well-lit pedestrian and cycle routes.
Work is expected to commence on the new homes in early August, with the first phase of houses due to be released for sale at the beginning of 2019.

“We are really pleased to have secured planning permission for new homes at South Ockendon – our first venture in the area,” said Dave Smith, managing director at St Modwen Homes.
“The area is very popular with families and commuters and we expect our new homes to be snapped up.
“We are building a wide range of homes so will have something for everyone – from renters and first-time buyers to families and those looking for extra space.”
