Bevan Brittan bolsters property team with two new partners

Commercial law firm Bevan Brittan LLP has expanded its property team with the appointment of two new partners.

Dalee Kaur (pictured above) and Mark Paget Skelin (below) have both joined the team and will be based in London.

Dalee joins from law firm Bircham Dyson Bell and has expertise in planning and infrastructure law, mainly in the retailing, housing, office, leisure and mixed-use development and regeneration sectors.

She has previously acted on planning applications, planning appeals, judicial reviews and Court of Appeal/High Court challenges among other functions.

“[Bevan Brittan] has a reputation for providing innovative, strategic and practical property law advice — helping clients to develop their business strategy, deal with day-to-day issues that arise when managing property portfolios, and has great strength in depth across many markets,” said Dalee.

Meanwhile, Mark joins from Capsticks LLP, where he served as a partner, and has experience of supporting healthcare organisations with their real estate transactions and providing strategic legal advice.

He said: “This is an important time for organisations with critical decisions for investment and infrastructure spending needing to be made.

“I am committed to being a trusted adviser to clients — knowing their objectives, working with them and being part of their team — with the aim of getting the best possible outcome in a sometimes difficult financial environment.”

Mark Calverley, head of property at Bevan Brittan, said: “Mark and Dalee have significant knowledge and experience across the UK property market and we are pleased to welcome them both to the Bevan Brittan property team.

“They are joining an expert legal team of property specialists who have an in-depth knowledge of the markets we focus upon across the country.”
