H+H’s ‘celcon elements’ are storey-height panels of aircrete — which have been used by Barratt to build circa 600 new homes — and is one of more than 40 MMC systems now accepted by NHBC.
Oliver Novakovic, technical and innovation director at Barratt, commented: “We have seen excellent construction quality onsite with the H+H celcon elements, and are delighted that we are helping to provide high-specification new homes by embracing MMC.”
The product is said to have excellent thermal performance with reduced heat loss at thermal bridges, and is usually used with Roofspace Solution’s ‘I-House’ system for the construction of domestic homes of up to two storeys, with rooms in the roof.
