Puma Property Finance adds new manager to team

Puma Property Finance has welcomed Rahul Malde (pictured above) to its team as a manager responsible for the origination, execution and ongoing management of new transactions.

Prior to joining, Rahul — who is a CFA charterholder — worked at Hermes Investment Management, where he was an investment manager focussed on the origination, structuring, execution and ongoing management of UK and European real estate debt facilities and CMBS investments.

Before this, he worked for Nationwide’s commercial real estate finance division across distressed debt restructures and workouts, credit risk, and origination of new UK real estate debt facilities.

“We are delighted that Rahul has joined us,” said David Kaye, CEO at Puma Property Finance.

“We are continuing to increase both our team and our lending activity after a number of strong years, and Rahul will be a key part in achieving further growth.”

Last year, Puma Property Finance completed over £200m in loans.

The specialist lender — which is part of fund management business, Puma Investments — provides development loans between £5m and £35m to finance residential, commercial, and specialist sector projects such as hotels, student accommodation, care homes and retirement living.

The business offers stretch senior development loans, pre-development bridging finance for site acquisitions, and post-development exit finance.
