Property finance industry DJs to headline music event 'Bloodstock'

Bloodstock, in partnership with The Blood Bank and its Summer of Blood campaign, is a property finance industry music event that will be held later this year.

A group of property finance professionals, along with Bridging & Commercial, have got together to put on an evening filled with drinks, food, music — courtesy of a line-up of industry DJs — and dancing (finally) on 15th September at SAMA Bankside in London, all in the name of raising awareness of blood donation.

David Coleman, regional account manager at Positive Lending; Nick Wilcox, founding director at Valorem Partners; and Jamie Pritchard, sales director at Glenhawk, will be headlining, with DJ sets from 5pm until midnight.

There is currently an unprecedented requirement for blood owing to high deferral rates due to the Covid vaccination programme and increased cancellations due to the weather.

In addition, many procedures that were postponed during the pandemic have now recommenced, making the need for blood supplies extremely vital.

Bloodstock invites everyone who can donate to register to do so — or to book their next appointment if already signed up.

“I am extremely excited to finally co-launch this event,” said Nick.

“What started as an idea between LinkedIn connections to create a musical live stream during lockdown, quickly snow balled into a live event with the opportunity to support such a great initiative as The Blood Bank and raise awareness of the need to donate blood within the industry and the UK.

“I’m really looking forward to seeing everybody at this event and having a fantastic evening.”

The venue has indoor and outdoor capacity, with food and drinks to be provided from 5-7pm, after which revellers are encouraged to make good use of the cash bar and enjoy the music.

“I am buzzing to be supporting a great cause while doing something I love within our amazing industry,” commented David.

Jamie added: “We’ve all had a tough 18 months as a country, so I believe we all need a good party to both raise awareness of the need to give blood, but also the ability to get the industry back together.

“Our industry is so good at rallying together and winning as one.”
