Having identified a gap in the Midlands region for a fully dedicated monitoring surveying practice, the company saw an opportunity to offer development funders and borrowers this service in the area.

Matthew joins the business from Naismiths, where he worked for over seven years — most recently as an associate director.

Before that, he was at Turner & Townsend.

“Having previously worked with Blane [Perrotton, founder and MD at Pride IMS] and Ryan Lunham [director] in the past, I look forward to coming on board and being a part of the very best in project monitoring service that Pride IMS delivers,” commented Matthew.

“The business has gone from strength to strength since inception, and I am excited to be part of it.

“I’ll bring my wealth of experience of both global and niche consultancies and, coupled with my pragmatic and cooperative approach, will help to continue to grow Pride IMS’ dominance in the Midlands region.”

Pride IMS regarded this strategic hire as “critical” following the Covid-19 pandemic, when risk management for lenders has never been so important.

“Having someone of Matthew’s technical calibre join Pride IMS further demonstrates the commitment the business has to providing the very best in project monitoring services,” said Blane.

“Matthew has worked in the Midlands region for almost two decades, and his wealth of local knowledge, coupled with his exemplary reputation in project monitoring, is second to none.

“He is considered in the highest regard by both development lenders and developers.

“Having previously worked with Matthew, I know that he exhibits all the key qualities that are the differentiators of a Pride IMS surveyor.”

The practice launched in 2020 to solely work in independent monitoring surveying, proactively steering away from the multi-disciplinary approach of other firms.
