Elevate secures planning permission for new Birmingham homes

Elevate Property Group has secured planning permission to transform a redundant site in Birmingham’s Jewellery Quarter into new townhouses.

The site at the former Sapcote Yard, in Camden Street, is the latest of Elevate’s regeneration projects in the city, including the recently completed ‘Heaton House’ development nearby.

Birmingham City Council has granted permission for the renovation of the vacant office building to include the development of a new second floor and several new build houses on the former builder’s yard.

Once transformed, the 0.25-acre site will feature 11 three-bedroom family townhouses, as well as two two-bedroom duplex apartments with parking.

Sam Meeten, land director at Elevate, commented: “We’re really pleased to have secured permission for this site which has taken significant work and patience to get this permission over the line.

“I’m especially grateful to the architects, planning and acoustic consultants for their hard work and tenacity, as this development will add to the heritage of the immediate area within this historic part of Birmingham.”
