The company — part of the Landmark Group — aims to remove sales risk by agreeing to buy any completed and unsold units
LDS works with a large panel of lenders to provide packages of up to 95% of development costs, as well as a day-one cash release, enabling SME developers to build more with more funds.
LDS has contracted £25m of new transactions in the past month and has recently hired Alex Maltby from Legal and General as origination director.

Ben Jenkinson, regional director at LDS, believes the sales guarantee may help to solve the issue of supply within the housing market.
“As with most enduring problems, the housing crisis won’t be solved by doing things in the same way,” he said.
“Our product disregards convention to boost SME housing supply and we’re proud that developers, lenders and finance brokers across the market have helped us become established so quickly.
