Urbanite secures £18.85m funding from Paragon Bank for Glasgow PBSA scheme

Paragon Bank’s development finance division has provided a £18.85m loan to Urbanite Living to fund the development of a new PBSA scheme in Glasgow.

The Clyde Court development — designed by NW Architects — will provide 169 studio bedrooms over six storeys to support University of Glasgow and University of Strathclyde students.

It will also offer several amenities, including two private dining kitchens, two social study rooms, a cinema, gym, and breakout spaces with pool tables and cycle store.

The new development is the third deal agreed between Paragon and Urbanite, following previous PBSA projects in Leeds and Sheffield.

Simon Dekker, senior relationship manager at Paragon, commented: “Clyde Court is set to provide much-needed new PBSA in Glasgow.

“It has been a pleasure to further our relationship with Urbanite on this exciting development and I look forward to seeing the benefit it brings to the city.”

Adam Sadler, project director at Urbanite, added: “We are delighted to work once again with Paragon’s development finance team and to start construction on this development.

“This project will help to regenerate an important strategic plot in the city of Glasgow, while delivering much-needed new residential accommodation.”
