Jeremy Karr, Jamie Taylor and Dominik Czerwinke were formally appointed on Monday as joint administrators of the company.
Established in 1986 — with over 30 years of experience — MJL was a fully integrated, privately owned building services engineering business.

Holly Gibson, environmental and sustainability coordinator at MJL, said in a LinkedIn post that the news came as a real shock to her.
Sean Cook, senior project engineer at MJL, also commented on LinkedIn: “It is with a heavy heart that I share the news that MJL has gone into administration.
“As a proud member of the team, I am saddened by this turn of events.”
Vigan Rexhepi, one of the firm’s electrical PMs, stated: “MJL weren't just a company I worked for, but felt more like a family — I grew up and became an adult in the industry with thanks to all the amazing supervisors, managers and staff within the company throughout the years.
“Today is truly a sad day for the industry and there is now massive void to fill.”
DFT approached Begbies Traynor for comments, but the firm has not yet responded.
