CapitalRise names new head of origination

Specialist lender CapitalRise has promoted Lee Francis (pictured above) to head of origination for real estate finance.

In his new role, Lee will spearhead the company’s team of originators through the next phases of growth.

Prior to his role as a lending director at CapitalRise, Lee’s career has seen him work at HSBC, Bank of Scotland, Clydesdale, and Santander, across the corporate and structured finance and commercial real estate sectors.

“I am excited to drive CapitalRise’s lending growth strategy and fulfil the target to significantly expand our loan book,” said Lee.

“Our appetite to lend is strong and we have set ourselves ambitious targets, but they are by no means unrealistic if you look at the firm’s diverse and resilient funding lines, our team of property specialists, and the recruitment of some of the sector’s brightest talent.”

Uma Rajah, CEO and co-founder of CapitalRise, added: “I am delighted that Lee will now be heading up our origination team.

“Lee’s extensive experience in property lending markets and innovative approach to structuring funding solutions is a huge asset to the business.

“This key promotion is also recognition of Lee’s outstanding contribution to the CapitalRise journey over recent years.”
