This is more than double the number of plots, 1,170, sold the year before with £52.1m generated over that period.
The developer completed 1,896 of last year’s residential plot sales in the fourth quarter alone, with a headline sales value of £71.7m during that time. Sales were split between upfront and deferred payments.
These disposals in the last quarter were made to both national and regional housebuilders as well as registered providers of affordable housing.

Harworth made several acquisitions during this period to replace capacity, and the developer’s residential land pipeline now totals 31,264 plots with 15% of that pipeline already consented.
Lynda Shillaw, CEO of Harworth, highlighted this disposal strategy was in line with the group’s strategic target to sell 2,000 plots per year.
“Throughout the year we continued to see healthy demand for our high quality de-risked serviced land, and notably we also completed two major land sales at our Skelton Grange and Ansty developments in December, for £106.3m,” said Lynda.
She continued, “the proceeds from these sales will be reinvested into our industrial and logistics development programme to continue creating value for our stakeholders.”
