B&C can exclusively reveal that Aldermore Bank has appointed two new additions to its Property Development team, as part of the company’s ongoing expansion.
The challenger bank has promoted Simon Knowles in-house from Property Development Manager to Head of Property Development.
Simon said: “I’m very pleased to be heading up the Property Development team, which is growing rapidly due to the high demand we are seeing from property developers wanting access to finance in the wake of improving confidence in the economy and the housing market. We plan to double the size of our team in the next 12 months, so it's an exciting time for Aldermore.”
Simon has been at Aldermore since April 2010. Before joining Aldermore, he worked at NatWest for 15 years in roles including senior business manager and commercial banking manager. He will now be reporting directly to Rob Lankey, the Commercial Mortgages’ Managing Director.
Stuart Williams will take the reigns as the Simon’s new replacement, coming in from outside Aldermore to become the new Property Development Manager.
Stuart said: “I’m delighted to have joined Aldermore, which is really making its presence felt in the Property Development market. The Aldermore Property Development team has ambitious targets for the year ahead and I’m looking forward to helping it become a leading player in the market.”
Stuart will report to Simon, and will be responsible for liaising with specialist mortgage/finance brokers, working across the Midlands and South East of England to provide development finance facilities for small to medium sized developers.
Stuart has come to Aldermore with more seven years’ experience in the property development finance market. He worked most recently for Bridgebank Capital as a BDM, and also worked previously for Davenham Property Finance as the Regional Sales Director.
