HHBVL – which is a joint venture between Henley Homes PLC and Fred Done of Betfred – will use the funding to build 84 new homes at its Barnes Village development (pictured above), which is set to provide 155 new homes upon completion.
The JV has secured planning permission for the conversion of a Grade II-listed former hospital into a range of 38 historic apartments and townhouses, with a further seven new-build townhouses and 117 family homes of varying sizes to be constructed on the 17-acre site.

Work on the first phase was completed during 2017, which included the conversion of the former hospital building into 38 units, as well as the first tranche of new-build homes.
Henley Homes is undertaking all construction work on the site.
Steve Marsh, director at HHBVL, said that its goal at Barnes Village was to restore an iconic and important local building and create a sustainable new community centred around well-designed contemporary homes.
“NatWest helped us with the first phase of the scheme and we are pleased [it has] returned to help us with phase two.”
