Hampshire Trust Bank (HTB) has appointed Scott Apps (pictured above, right) as a business development director for development finance.

The company has also hired Ross Sheppard (left) as a BDM for Wales and the South, and Dan Boswell (middle) as a BDM for Midlands and the North.

Scott, who has over 13 years of experience in financial services, joins the company from United Trust Bank.

Prior to this, he held roles at Castle Trust, Shawbrook Bank and Wesleyan Financial Services.

Meanwhile, Ross and Dan join HTB from Castle Trust and Purplebricks, respectively.

Commenting on his appointment, Scott said: “Having previously worked with some of the senior stakeholders and hearing the vision for development finance at HTB, I saw its plan as a compelling proposition that I could not turn down.

“The reputation of HTB’s culture and customer-focused drive for success is well known and something I was keen to be a part of.

“It is an exciting time to be joining the division and I am delighted to be part of the next stage of HTB’s growth and success story, delivering the vision within a new role and with a team that is keen to adapt and evolve.”

Alex Upton, managing director for development finance at HTB, added: “I’m delighted to welcome the three new arrivals to the business development team at an exciting time for the bank.

“They will be responsible for working with our broker partners and development finance lending directors to deliver our continually evolving proposition.

“The business development team will be building genuine partnerships with our brokers through education, engagement and feedback, which will allow us to adapt and further strengthen our development finance offering.

“They will also work with our broker partners to create solutions for their developer clients and build ongoing relationships to deliver successful projects time and again.”
