Countrywide Surveying Services appoints new director of retrofit

Countrywide Surveying Services (CSS) has hired Jonathan Bourke (pictured above) as director of retrofit.

Jonathan joins CSS from Warmworks LLP where he held the position of retrofit centre of excellence manager.

Prior to that, he was part of the senior management team at Elmhurst Energy where he assumed overall operational responsibility for a division of the business which delivered 280,000 EPCs annually.

In his new role, Jonathan will be in charge of developing and running the retrofit division at CSS and its sister company, Harvey, Donaldson & Gibson — the latter of which already operates in the public sector housing markets.

Matthew Cumber, MD at CSS, commented: “Jonathan is a consummate professional and highly experienced retrofit assessor, coordinator, and evaluator, who will add great value and experience to our growing retrofit division.

“Educating homebuyers and working closely with our lending partners to help deliver innovative retrofit solutions with sustained outcomes remains a key priority for the business moving forward.

“This is an appointment which will facilitate the exploration and delivery of a range of solutions to help improve the energy-related performance of UK housing stock and combat the significant climate change challenge we are all facing.”

Jonathan added: “This represents a fantastic opportunity to work with the leading company in its field and I’m looking forward to further developing the CSS retrofit proposition across the private owner and lender markets.”
