CrowdProperty celebrates funding over £500m of development projects to date

CrowdProperty has announced it has funded over £500m of property development projects to date.

This follows a record-breaking month in May, which saw the lender agree £42m worth of facilities for the construction of residential property schemes by SME developers throughout the UK.

To date, CrowdProperty has lent a total of over £221m — which has helped finance the construction of 2,363 homes worth £503.2m — as part of its aim to boost SME property developers’ chances of building more homes, drive spend in the economy on labour, materials and services, and expand their businesses faster.

Mike Bristow, CEO at CrowdProperty (pictured above), said: “With an average project GDV of £3.1m over the last three months, CrowdProperty continues to support experienced property developers in their funding needs with our unique positioning, and, as a result, we are growing at an exceptional rate.

“This rapid growth is only achieved by serving customers exceptionally, underpinned by a highly scalable, in-house built technology platform, as well as diverse capital sources and deep expertise in exactly the asset class being lent against, ready to be operating at orders of magnitude larger than current funding levels.”

Mike attributed the lender’s achievements to its 55-member UK team, as well as the nine employees based in Sydney.

“This is still just the start of our potential in our mission to unlock the power of SME property developers in the UK and further afield to build more homes, increase spend in the UK economy, and to more efficiently and effectively match the supply and demand of capital for the benefit of all,” said Mike.

The latest achievements follow CrowdProperty’s recent successful performance, which saw the firm achieve lendind records in two of the previous three months, and launch its second-charge mezzanine finance proposition.

CrowdProperty also recently announced its partnership with FIBA as part of its expanding distribution strategy.
